Northern Territory Archery
Modern Field Archery is a sport of shooting arrows at targets which are set in the bush.
Archery clubs associated with The Australian Bowhunters Association Ltd. (ABA) providing a structured coaching program to ensure archery is taught and practices in a correct and safe manner to enable people are enjoy and have fun within this sport for many years.
Most parts of Australia have ABA associated Archery Clubs, which are supported by local Branches. Branch A is the ABA subdivision for the Northern Territory and have currently two affiliated archery clubs:

Alice Springs
Fred's Pass Field Archers (FPFA)

Field Archery involves shooting arrows at targets of either marked or unmarked varying distances, dependent on the shooting discipline.
Bowhunting
Bowhunting is a sport of ethically hunting feral animals with bows and arrows. The Australian Bowhunters Association Inc. teaches safe and ethical bowhunting.

Branch A is the governing body for all ABA associated archery clubs in the NT. Overall, this provides:
- Standardised coaching
- Safety training and archery practice
- Liability insurance for all paid members
- Club, Branch and National comparable shoot results (Grading)
- ABA National or Branch competitions to ensure like minded archers all over Australia (and beyond) are able to meet up and having fun shooting and exchanging knowledge and experiences.
